Below are the answers to many of the questions you might have about the technical support we provide:

GENERAL

What is Hosting with Market Drafters™?
It is purchasing disk space, bandwidth, and related services on Market Drafters' servers.  You will be permanently connected to the Internet while getting a cost-effective solution to managing your Web site. 

What if I need help with putting my information into my Web site?
We will help you make changes to your Web site twice during each month.  If you subscribed to our Maintenance Plan, you can send additional information to us and we'll make the changes for you. If not, we can provide you with the necessary assistance at a fixed rate.

How soon will I see my changes?
If you registered your domain with Network Solutions, the changes will be updated in about an hour. Other service providers can require up to 72 hours for changes to occur.

Is your server information backed up?
Yes, the server information is backed up weekly; in addition, if we design your site, as well as host it, we will maintain copies of your source code. Back ups include your site and database content.


DOMAIN NAMES

What is a Domain Name and how can I get one?
A Domain Name is your address on the World Wide Web. To be accessed from anywhere in the world, a Domain Name must be registered with an ICANN accredited registrar. If you already have a domain name, there is no additional cost to use that name with Market Drafters™.  If you need a Domain Name you can purchase one through Market Drafters.  We'll handle the entire registration and Domain Name management process for you.

What Domain Names can I register on Market Drafters™?
Market Drafters can register available names including: .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, and all others that are available. We utilize Network Solutions to register names because of their excellent service and high performance. They are one of the oldest providers of Domain Names. Contact us to register any Domain Name or contact Network Solutions directly at
www.networksolutions.com.

Can I transfer an existing Domain Name to your servers?
Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new Domain. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for your Domain Name Registrant to complete the transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror the site on our server. All e-mail and Web pages will still be accessed from your current site. When your Domain Name Registrant announces the completion of the transfer, there is a 72-hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 72 hours, you should contact your previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access, you will not be able to access your domain site until they update their DNS.

How long does it take before my Domain Name is active?
Once the your Domain Name Registrant announces that your Domain Name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72 hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.


E-MAIL

What is the difference between Mail Accounts and Mail Aliases?
Mail Accounts e-mail is stored on our server and downloaded to your mail client. Mail Aliases are used to simply forward mail to another Mail Account, either on our server or on someone else's.

For example, you may have a mail user 'call' KBrown@yourdomainname.com. Then you have an Alias sales@yourdomainname.com that forwards all mail to KBrown@yourdomainname.com.

Mail Forwarding
All mail that is sent to the addresses ending with @yourdomain.com is forwarded to your initial mail account. This e-mail account is called the "default" mail forwarding account.


WEB SITE MAINTENANCE

Why do I need a maintenance plan?
We include two updates / month in our basic hosting package. If you require additional updates / month, we recommend that you purchase the $25 / month Maintenance Package.

How do I cancel my account?
Cancellation requests for Market Drafters accounts must be received in writing via fax or postal service at Market Drafters main office one month prior to the next billing cycle.


POLICIES

How long does it take to set up an account?
Our sign-up process means that your new account will be created within one business day (at the maximum) when you pay by credit card.

Is there a 100% money-back guarantee?
All of Market Drafters Maintenance Plans are backed up with a 30-day money back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with our services within the first 30 days of your contract, you will be given a full refund of the contract amount excluding setup fees, domain registration fees, add-on/upgrade fees, overages, and US $4 payment processing fee. Setup fees are refundable only if the account is canceled prior to account activation. To cancel an account and get a refund, you have to notify Market Drafters by mail or fax within the first 30 days following activation. No refund is available after the 30th day.

Is there any setup fees?
Yes, Market Drafters charge a one-time fee to set up the account and design the Web site.

How does Market Drafters provide technical support?

Does Market Drafters' Web Host permit "adult" hosting? 
Pornography and sex-related merchandising is prohibited on all of our servers. This includes sites that may infer sexual content, or links to adult content elsewhere. We will be the sole arbiter in determining violations of this provision. We maintain the right to cancel any subscriber if the content is unethical in any way.

Can I use Bulk e-mail sending for promotion?
Sending bulk volumes of unsolicited e-mail, or "spamming," is in violation of Market Drafters Terms of Service and will result in termination of your account.

Does Market Drafters™ guarantee 100% up-time?
While Market Drafters endeavors to have your Web site available 100% of the time, services may be interrupted for several reasons. We make no 100% warranty of up-time of our server other than that we will make all reasonable and honest efforts to ensure its proper work and safety. Connectivity is dependent on many factors other than server availability.

Can I be sure of fixed prices for the services?
All prices are guaranteed for the term of pre-payment. Additionally, for continuous customers in good financial standing, Market Drafters guarantees that your current Maintenance Plan pricing is locked in for one year. If your hosting plan is being upgraded with new features, you will get them for free even if prices for new customers have changed.

Do you guarantee privacy for your customers? 
Market Drafters will not share or disclose information regarding its Customers except in the event of a legal request, such as a court order, when reasonably necessary to protect the company's rights or property, or in emergencies where someone's safety is at risk.
